Lisbon Photography Masterclass

Two days chasing quiet light through the streets of Lisbon.

For two days in Lisbon, it is four photographers, me, and the light. This is a small, unhurried masterclass for four people who want to slow down, see a little more, and come home with images that feel like their own.

We shoot in the soft hours, early morning and late golden light, when the city is calm and the streets breathe. In between, we talk through the things that actually make a frame work: light, timing, patience, and the quiet story you are trying to tell.

No rush, no crowd. Just four photographers, a city I love, and the kind of light that makes you want to keep walking.

What you'll learn

01

Seeing the light before you shoot it

How to read a street before you raise the camera, and why the best frame is usually the one you waited for.

02

Composition and quiet storytelling

Building a frame that says something, not just one that is technically correct.

03

My editing workflow, start to finish

A hands-on Lightroom session on your own images, the same cinematic look I shoot for.

04

Personal feedback, in the field and at the screen

Direct, honest input on your own work, not general tips. What is working, and what to try next.

05

A small group, real conversation

Four photographers is small on purpose. Time to actually talk about the work, not just shoot past each other.

06

Two days built around Lisbon's best light

Sunrise and golden hour, in the parts of the city that hold the light the longest.

Who this is for

This masterclass is for anyone who wants to grow their eye, whether you are still finding your footing or already shooting with intention. You do not need professional gear or years of experience. You need curiosity, comfortable shoes, and the willingness to slow down. Bring the camera you love, whatever it is.

The two days

Day one — the street and the light

We meet at first light and shoot the city as it wakes, when the streets are soft and almost empty. Over a long lunch we slow down and talk composition, seeing, and how I build a frame. In the late afternoon we head back out and follow the golden light until it fades.

Day two — seeing it through

We start again at sunrise, this time with everything from day one in mind. Later we sit down together for a hands-on editing session, where I walk you through my Lightroom approach on your own images, the same quiet, cinematic look I shoot for. We close with one last walk in the evening light.

What is included

Two days of guided shooting in a group of no more than four. Personal feedback throughout, in the field and at the screen. A hands-on Lightroom editing session on your own photos, and a look inside how I edit. My full attention, and a small group that makes real learning possible.

Not included: travel to Lisbon, accommodation, and meals. You bring your own camera gear.

What to bring

Bring the camera and lens you love, whether that is a wide angle, a standard zoom, or something longer. If you are wondering about lenses, I shoot most of my work on a single one, the Fujifilm 16-55mm f/2.8, a 24-70 full-frame equivalent, and it is more than enough. A laptop with Lightroom for our editing session, comfortable shoes for two days of walking, and an open, curious eye.
